INTENSIVE
COURSES
The
quickest and most successful way to learn to drive is concentrated driving
lessons. Continuous progress can be achieved more easily with an intensive
course of lessons, because you have less time to forget and can pick up
from where you left off more easily. It is impossible to give a firm number
to the lessons a learner will need without first seeing how they take
things in. Everyone learns to drive at a different rate that is individual
for them. Some are fast learners, some are slow, an average driver can
pass their test with 30 hours driving tuition. The first rule is 'Get
the best tuition you can find' ie; Chequered Flag.
DEVELOPMENT
Driving
is a skill that can, in time, be acquired by just about everyone. This
will depend on how quickly they develop a good rapport with their driving
instructor and if the instructor can find the most effective way to teach
them with regard to their natural aptitude for driving. If they have previous
experience of driving a moped on the road, or driving on private land,
they have an advantage that could well reduce the number of lessons needed.
Any other legal driving that can be taken outside driving lessons ie;
with friends or relatives, in general this will make it quicker to learn
to drive and pass the test.
TECHNIQUES
Try
to think about driving when on the bus or being driven in a car looking
out for hazards and dangerous situations. Keep your eye out for vulnerable
road users such as children, cyclists, motorcyclists etc, and notice road
markings, traffic signs etc. These are all excellent things you can do
to to speed up the time it takes to learn to drive an save yourself a
lot of money in driving lessons. Remember though, the more tuition you
receive the better driver you will become.
