HAZARD PERCEPTION

A NEW TEST

All learner drivers and riders have to take the new video filmed Hazard Perception test.  This test consists of approximately 15 video clips being shown to the candidate.  All clips feature hazards of various types; vehicles, pedestrians, children, horse riders, motorcyclists, etc.  Candidates are asked to respond by pressing a button as soon as they can see a hazard developing  which may cause them, as the driver of the vehicle to take appropriate action.  The sooner they respond the higher the score.

AN INSIGHT

The video clips were filmed in locations around the UK and contain a variety of road and traffic conditions featuring urban, rural and suburban scenes.  To enable Chequered flag pupils to prepare for the test, we have developed a new multi-media interactive video system that they can take advantage of while taking their practical driving lessons with the expert guidance of their Chequered Flag driving instructor.  Passing the test will present no difficulties.
